October 2020 Wrap Up ❤👻 📚

Spooky Season has ended and I'm kinda sad. I'm not a thanksgiving person. I'd rather jump to Christmas...honestly....I know that's horrible to some people, but oh well! GUYS, read this post to the end. I'm hosting a 1K giveaway on my Instagram and it ends at 11:59PM CST Today (Friday the 13th)

Anyway, I had a few books that I finished during that time. Books I've already reviews (Charming Like Us, The Silver Swan, & After We Collided) will be linked at the end of the blog. This is my October Wrap up.

Resisting the Billionaire
About Resisting The Billionaire:
-Gabriel-

When I’m forced to make a deal with my father to marry the woman of his choosing for a business deal, I never expected to find someone I connect with. Someone who doesn’t fawn all over me because I’m the heir to a billion dollar fortune. Someone who sees the real me. And someone I can’t get enough of in turn.

There’s only one problem - I can’t have her. She’s the wedding planner.

-Mackenzie-

It’s the chance of a lifetime - plan the wedding of a billionaire’s son that’ll put my event planning business on the map and get me out of debt. A no brainer, right?

Except the bride wants nothing to do with this arranged marriage. And as the groom and I get closer, the professional lines between us blur until there’s something there neither of us can deny. With my business on the line and our chemistry off the charts, I’m torn whether I should keep resisting the one person I never expected to fall for.

Omg guys this story was amazing! I loved it! I just wanna give kudos to Allie Winters for writing a heart felt warm fuzzy feeling story and I can’t wait to read the other two books in the trilogy ❤️ thank you for reaching out to me to read this! Go grab your copies now because Gabriel and Mackenzie are worth the time 🤗 Follow the links below to grab your copy or to check out Allie Winters :) PS This book is available on Kindle Unlimited!!

Krish
About Krish:
A dark, seductive and irresistibly captivating love story, Krish weaves romance and revenge in a hypnotic waltz

When Nicole Hill lands a new client, the magnetic yet disturbing Raphael De’Angelo, her carefully orchestrated life takes a dangerous turn. In the blink of an eye, everything Nicole holds precious is snatched away from her.
Too late Nicole discovers how deadly and twisted the alluring powerbroker can be. But she isn’t going down without a fight. De’Angelo was going to pay for destroying her life.
What Nicole doesn’t realise is that the more she craves revenge, the closer she draws to the deceptive De’Angelo, and the more peril she courts. It might become impossible to escape his enthralling web of intrigue …

D’Angelo is awesome and I will say the main heroine, Nicole, had a tendency to get on my nerves. Her roundabout ways of looking at life and events didn’t align with my own but nonetheless the story had some twists and turns. It was enjoyable. I only did 3 stars because, I had a tough time wanting to finish this story. My 4 & 5 star reads are books I can't put down and are constantly on my mind. I did enjoy the story when I read it but I didn't feel disappointed when I had to put it down. It is written and set in London so the verbiage isn’t American English. It threw me for a loop at first but you get used to it. This is another Kindle Unlimited book!

Checkmate
About Checkmate:
She's about to play him at his own game...

Joey is at the top of the chain, riding high, the King of the underworld.
Paige is a woman scorned, ready to redraw the battle lines and take the throne as the Queen. She wants to reign supreme, show Joey who the boss is, and make him suffer for pushing her aside years before.

The trouble with battle lines is that there is always someone who wants to take over the playing field. There are always those who are waiting to take you down, make you beg, and have you at their mercy.
Will Paige be at Joey's mercy?
Will Joey give up his throne?
Or will an underlying force come in like a whirlwind and rip the ground out from beneath both of them?

A dangerous game.
A love that refuses to die.
And two powerful people about to collide.

Will they have what it takes to get through the dangers that lurk around every corner?
And who will be the one to finish the game and say, "Checkmate?"

This dark mafia style romance was interesting to read and I liked seeing the two characters having witty banter. Paige is a queen and she's strong, confident and willing to do anything to one up Joey. But Joey just wants Paige. He's awed by her new found persona. The power struggle throughout the book keeps you entertained. I'm happy Lindsey Powell reached out to me to give her book a read. Again, its only a 3 star read for me because I wasn't overly enticed to keep picking the story back up like I am with some of my favorite romance novels. Another KU book! Find the links below.

After We Collided (Book 2) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

About After We Collided:
Tessa has everything to lose. Hardin has nothing to lose… except her.

After a tumultuous beginning to their relationship, Tessa and Hardin were on the path to making things work. Tessa knew Hardin could be cruel, but when a bombshell revelation is dropped about the origins of their relationship—and Hardin’s mysterious past—Tessa is beside herself.

Hardin will always be… Hardin. But is he really the deep, thoughtful guy Tessa fell madly in love with despite his angry exterior—or has he been a stranger all along? She wishes she could walk away. It’s just not that easy. Not with the memory of passionate nights spent in his arms. His electric touch. His hungry kisses.

Still, Tessa’s not sure she can endure one more broken promise. She put so much on hold for Hardin—school, friends, her mom, a relationship with a guy who really loved her, and now possibly even a promising new career. She needs to move forward with her life.

Hardin knows he made a mistake, possibly the biggest one of his life. He’s not going down without a fight. But can he change? Will he change for love?

Book Two of the After series—now newly revised and expanded, Anna Todd’s After fan-fiction racked up 1 billion reads online and captivated readers across the globe. Experience the Internet’s most talked-about book for yourself!

Let me start this review off by saying, I started this series when it was on Wattpad & I obviously bought the published books to support Anna Todd. But the edited versions do have differences compared to the Wattpad books. Understandable. I have also reviewed the two movies that have been done. I will link those further down. I love Hessa. I love Tessa & I love Hardin. They have so much growth throughout this book & the whole series. I think Anna does a great job showing the struggles of relationships & addiction & PTSD. I felt for Hessa during the 12 days. I think I speak for many that the 12 days hold a special spot in their memories. I cried for them & I hoped for them. I've re-read this book multiple times and the fact that I haven't dedicated a post for the series will be fixed in a few weeks.
