New Author Alert: Amo Jones & The Elite Kings Club Series

The Elite Kings Series is amazing. This series is written by Amo Jones and contains 5 books (soon to be 6). I've only read the first two books. Silver Swan  was insane. The Broken Puppet leaves its reader in shambles. I came across Amo Jones on Instagram and thought I'd check out her books. The blurb on amazon about the Elite Kings Book 1 caught my eye. Plus it was only $1.99! Gotta love a good deal. The blurbs and links are below. I didn't know what I was getting myself into when I went to get Amo's first book. You'll enter a dark world full of secrets and games. It's hard to get out once you've started.

Book 1--Silver Swan

Amazon, Silver Swan:

Madison Montgomery comes from money and power, but when someone close to her commits the ultimate crime, Madison must live with her tainted name for the rest of her life. When she begins Riverside Preparatory Academy, the private school her father has swept her into in The Hamptons, she hopes for a fresh start. What she wasn't hoping for was the pack of bad boys who run the school; ten, to be exact. When Madison gains the attention of their leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes, a whole new world that she didn't think existed is exposed to her. A whole world that starts and ends with The Elite Kings Club and these boys, are about to flip her world upside down. Secrets are overflowing and family lies are about to be exposed. Is there more to Madison Montgomery than even she knows?

Mind Blown! This book was not what I expected at all. I loved it! I finished this book in under 24 hours. I haven't been this into a book in awhile. I read the blurb and thought, "oooo another private school story with maybe a gossip girl twist." Boy was I wrong! This book is dark, mysterious, angsty, and sexy. Way sexier than I anticipated. This is not meant for people who don't enjoy erotic romances. Very graphic sex scenes (I'm not complaining though 😉) I was constantly trying to figure out what comes next. Amo does a great job at keeping her reader guessing. It gets frustrating not knowing what's going on. I definitely related with Madison and sick of these games. It would be so annoying to be given riddles and vague answers to everything. Riddle me this, will book 2 give us the answers we seek? Or will book 2 continue to confuse us?

Also, can we take a moment to appreciate how pretty the cover for Silver Swan is? I mean this is beautiful. I'd grab this book without looking at the storyline.

Book 2--The Broken Puppet

Amazon, The Broken Puppet:

“I thought I knew who I was, but I was wrong.”

The Silver Swan
- 1. A girl who is tarnished. Tainted. One who does not fit into the confinement of legend.
The Silver Swan
-2. Madison Montgomery.

I was lied to.
I was cheated.
Resigned to pick up the scraps of empty memories and disarrayed thoughts, I left. After finally cutting the strings of manipulation, I resorted to do what I’ve done since I was a child, something my father drilled into my brain since I could handle my first rifle.
Run.
I’m a mere shadow of the girl they all knew.
Lies and deceit change you. They alter your entire outlook on life.
I’m Madison Montgomery, and I want to play a game.
Here’s what happens when I win.

Riddle me this, Mads.
What goes bump in the night,
but is something you can’t see with sight?
You may run, and you may hide.
If by happily ever after, you mean Bonnie & Clyde.

If you were shocked by Silver Swan, then be prepared to be completely spent after The Broken Puppet. This book has so many loose ends and I'm so glad I don't have to wait to get book 3, Tacet a Mortuis. I loved Silver Swan and The Broken Puppet was not a flop. I finished this just as quickly as book 1. We get answers to questions (not all of them *sigh*) and get to see a softer side to Bishop. Don't get me wrong, this is still a dark erotic romance and definitely continues with the lies, games, WTF moments, and a twists. Plus, Amo does a great job at incorporating the titles of the books into her stories. I love when authors do that and so far she is 2 for 2. As stated above, this book will leave the readers in shambles. I don't think we'll be picking up our pieces anytime soon. Book 3 looks just as complicated as the predecessors. Can't wait!

Compared to the Silver Swan cover, The Broken Puppet cover is kinda creepy and also enticing. It's different and makes you wonder what the story is really about.

About the Author:

Amo Jones is a small country girl totally winging this author thing (she's probably doing it all wrong). She likes cake, loves wine, and her religion is magic. She's a profound work-a-holic, but when she's not writing, you can find her chilling with her kids & partner at the nearest beach, with a cocktail in her hand.

New Zealand is not a state of Australia and rugby is the best sport ever played.
