Brace yourselves, I'm about to go down the fandom rabbit hole. For those of you who don't know my blog name is inspired by Sarah J. Maas' series Throne of Glass. I have posted a few times about Sarah and her books, but I realized I haven't given you guys an in-depth review of her two series, Throne of Glass & A Court of Thorns & Roses. So yes, this post will inevitably be really long. I'd apologize, but I'm going to enjoy it 😏
Throne of Glass Series:
After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.

GIVE ME ALL THESE BOOKS. If I had known when I first read this book how much of an impact this author/series/characters would have in my life I would've laughed. Like wow, this book started an obsession I'm glad to have. I love this world so much and this is such a GREAT first book. It has so much foreshadowing in it and it sets the baseline for all the characters. If you love this book just wait for what's to come because your mind will be blown.

Fasten your seat belts and great ready for a action packed book. This isn't my favorite for the ToG series but it is entertaining. I love the friendship that blooms between Celaena & Dorian. I enjoy the relationship that starts with Chaol & Celaena. I hate a certain twist that takes place but I understand it was important & needed to happen. All in all this is an easy read and a great stepping stone in the path to creating this world.

So, when I first read this book, I wasn't a huge fan of it. It had to grow on me. Which I find so fitting because Celaena & Rowan grow on each other throughout this entire book. It's still not my favorite from the series but it's definitely in my top 3. This is such a great portraying of Aelin's character growth. Rowan was such a huge influence in this and I couldn't be more happy for her & him.

SCHEMING & SCHEMING & MORE SCHEMING. Sarah you are a goddess. The amount of planning that had to take place for this book had to be unreal. Aelin has grown so much since book 1 and she has overcome a crap ton of obstacles. She just keeps everyone on her toes and I LOVE IT. This book is my favorite because I love seeing all the plot twists and foreshadowing coming to life. I always find new things when I reread this book and I will continue to treasure it.

IMO: READ THIS BOOK BEFORE Empire of Storms & Tower of Dawn!!! It will help so much. So many characters come up and their backstories are in this book. They're fun and full of awesome teenager Celaena. Plus you'll get a little bit of reading that has Sam <3

I waited a long time for this book to come and I wasn't disappointed. Sarah J. Maas killed me with this book. Grab your Kleenex because you'll need it. I can't wait for the next and final book to come whenever that may be. I don't know what to say other than it was beautifully written, and it destroyed me at the same time. I won't write any spoilers or give anything away, but I encourage everyone to take their time with this book because it's so worth it. Hopefully everyone can handle this book. It rips open every wound from the previous books that you thought were healed up. I can't wait to see how this ends The ending of this book ruined me. I still cry when I read this even though I've read the entire series and know the endings. But I'm so attached this this world and the people who live in it. This book is awesome and I did not want to put it down. But those last few chapters will rip out your heart and stomp ALL over it. Beware and mentally prepare because it's so rough.

Let me start this off by saying, I was not happy when I heard this was a book dedicated to Nesryn & Chaol. I was so upset because I wanted to know what happened after Empire of Storms. With that being said, I appreciate this book. This is a story that's told in parallel with Empire of Storms. Chaol & Nesryn are traveling to the Southern continent to find allies, and themselves. I didn't enjoy this book the first time I read it. The second time though, I loved it. I hated Chaol during QoS & EoS and that showed when I read a story all about. BUT There are so many important things that take place in this book. SO MUCH FORESHADOWING. SO MUCH INFORMATION. You gotta give this a read or at the bare minimum a skim. It's well worth the time and effort. I was left stunned and can't wait to see how it's all tied together in the last novel.

Sarah gave me so much with this series and I can’t believe it’s over. KOA was everything I needed to finished this series.
I realize my review is very late, but I took a mental break from Sarah's world. I went through KoA so quickly my processing time was slow. I loved it and I cried multiple times throughout the book. Sarah you did awesome and I couldn't be happier with the way you wrote this monster of a book. Aelin, Rowan, Dorian, Manon, Chaol, Yrene, Elide, Lorcan, and so many more, thank you for your awesome journeys. I finally did a reread of the book and I think I'm ready to come at you all with my opinions, feelings, and thoughts. I did listen to part of this book on Audible and and I'm slowly starting to enjoy audiobooks. It helps my work commute is 30 minutes one way so I've got lots of time for listening. I know a lot of people in the fandom weren't overly enthusiastic about KoA because they felt Sarah drug on the fight scenes and didn't ended it realistically. All I have to say is she did a fabulous job in my opinion. She got backlash for ACoWAR and her fight scenes being short and dull. She comes back with a 992 long detailed war campaign and people still complain, so she did good. I won't do any huge spoilers but I can say the ending for the most part was happy for me. There were casualties throughout the book and some ripped my heart out, but in the end I was content and crying for the wholesome moment(s). I could go on and on about KoA but I'll wrap it up. I hope someday Sarah decides to come back to this world and give us the spin off stories we crave. This series has had a huge impact on me and I'm devastated its ended. All good things must come to an end though and I can't wait for Sarah's upcoming novels.

I walked past this book 5 times at the library before I bought it. It kept catching my eye but the first two chapters didn't really lure me in. I then went and read the Throne of Glass series and realized this book was by the same author. So, I said okay we like this chick and her story telling; let's give it another try. I must say, I want to slap my self the first time I set this book down. This series is now one of my all time favorites. This book sets the stage for so much. It's so important to read even if it's not my favorite in the series. I still re-read it even though I just want to jump to ACOMAF.

Wowza, this book takes you for a spin. I could say so much about this book, but I'm going to keep it short. I've re-read this book probably 10 times. It's my go to book slump breaker! You end book 1 on a happyish note and then you enter into this dark and dreary book. I wanted to throttle Tamlin & Lucien so so so many times. I love a certain dark and broody high lord ;) He'll forever be my #1 book boyfriend. I love the support he shows Feyre. I love the court he's built. I love it ALL. This is my favorite book in the series and I'd tell you why but it'll have wayy to many spoilers. BEWARE OF THE ENDING!!! It destroyed my heart.

GUT WRENCHING GOOD. I loved this book. FEYSAND FOR LIFE <3 Sarah, you successfully ripped open my heart. I loved the character development of Feyre throughout this entire series. Rhys has taken my heart and will forever hold the top spot for book boyfriends 💖 I feel so so so attached to these characters and I loved every second of this book. I loved the way it progressed. I loved the way it made me happy, sad, angered. It was a great "ending" to this series. I know Feysand will make an appearance in the spin-off series so it's not really goodbye. Thank you for another phenomenal series. I'll always have my standards set too high for other books!

It took me awhile to read this book. I was sad that the series was over and I wanted this book to have so many answers. I knew by its size that the odds of that were slim. I knew Sarah had other projects planned for the ACOTAR world but it was years in the making. This wasn't going to keep me sedated. I need the Cassian & Nesta book like now. This book is a great tie into what is coming. I enjoyed the little story about the court of dreamers and seeing how they're doing after the war. It was a fun happy book that I enjoyed but really wanted more.

Not gonna lie, the only reason I read this book was because it was written by Sarah. I was pleasantly surprised that I thoroughly enjoyed this story. I'm not a huge DC comics fan or really any type of story like that, but I'm a SJM super fan so I will push through any book she reads. Only, I didn't have to push through. It's actually a good book. Not my favorite but one I'll remember and maybe re-read someday.
